PrimECS is seekingPrimECS is seeking anexperienced Bookkeeper/Assistant Business Manager for our Fort Washington, Maryland office. The selected candidate will help manage our company's financial records and handle various business administration tasks. Thus, proven experience and mastery of Bookeeping using Quickbooks is a must-have. This role is perfect for individuals with experience in bookkeeping and or Accounting but has elements related to human resources, and administrative work, preferably in the engineering or construction industry.
This role is anexcellent opportunity for someone seeking to contribute to a growing team in the construction industry while maintaining flexibility in their work schedule. The successful candidate will have the flexibility to work between 20 and 40 hours a week. The position offers a blend of in-office and remote work, ideal for those balancing professional responsibilities with other commitments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Record Maintenance: Oversee and maintain accurate financial records, including bookkeeping using QuickBooks, invoicing, payroll, accounts payable, and receivable.
- Human Resources Support: Assist with basic HR tasks, including recruitment coordination, record maintenance, and payroll support.
- Administrative Support: Carry out administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, managing correspondence, and supporting project managers.
- Client and Vendor Communication: Manage communications with clients and vendors, including contract administration and resolution of billing queries.
- Compliance and Risk Management: Assist in ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, particularly relevant to the construction industry.
- Project and Office Assistance: Provide support for projects, including report preparation and maintaining documentation.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in bookkeeping using Quickbooks is required.
- Human resources, and administrative roles, with a preference for experience in the construction sector.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks) and Microsoft Office.
- Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy in financial matters.
Education:
- An Associate Degree or higher is required in Accounting, Business Administration or another related field.
- Additional training or certification in bookkeeping or accounting is advantageous.
Work Schedule and location:
- Part-time to full position (20+ hours per week) based in Fort Washington, Maryland.
- Flexible work schedule with options for partial remote work.
