NOTE: Tipping is not part of our service model. This role does not involve or receive tips.
Summary: A banquet server will fulfill The Pacific Club's standards of execution of banquets. Banquet servers are knowledgeable of Banquet Event Order (BEO) in a timely and accurate process. They serve food and beverages and fulfill member/guests requests in a polished manner. They will perform assigned duties and side work while promoting teamwork and efficiency. They communicate with supervisors to promote an efficient and safe work environment and assure that the best service is achieved in all functions.
- Executes a BEO for their event. Ensuring the event is set prior to its start.
- Delivers all food & beverage service on time and with accuracy
- Supports the overall success of the department by completing tasks relevant to his/her role at the request of his/her team members or any manager
- Adheres to all service standards as outlined in the Food & Beverage Service Manual
- Ability to work independently with great initiative, while taking advantage and promoting teamwork
- Promotes teamwork with the service staff and bartenders fulfilling customer needs during their dining experience.
- Communicates concerns, guests' requests, safety, and personal requests to supervisors in a timely manner.
- Is knowledgeable of Club-related information
- Adhere to grooming and uniform standards
Requirements
Education Requirements/Preferred Required: High School Graduate or General Education Degree
Work Experience Required/Preferred Minimum of 1-2 years in banquet service
Previous customer service experience a plus
Required Certification(s) Food Handler Certification
RBS (Responsible Beverage Service)
