Position Description :The Department of Geography and Environmental Studies at Texas State University invites applications for a non-tenure-track Faculty of Instruction in Geology at the Assistant Professor rank to begin Spring 2026 . We seek individuals with a demonstrated record of excellence in classroom instruction. This hire will play an essential role in supporting and growing the Geology Minor program that is offered by the Department of Geography and Environmental Studies.Instructional faculty appointments are reserved for individuals who make a unique contribution to Texas State Universitys mission by dedicating their time and expertise to teaching, learning, and instructional activities that complement and enhance the goals of students, academic units, and the university. Instructional faculty appointments at Texas State University are promotion-eligible and are made for a specific term, not to exceed five years, pending successful annual reviews and recommendations to reappoint, renewable annually.
