Location: Grand Rapids, MI Salary Range: $50,000 - $75,000 per year Responsibilities Basic understanding of AML regulations, including familiarity with the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), OFAC sanctions, and other relevant anti-money laundering laws. Analytical skills to identify patterns, analyze complex data, and draw logical conclusions from available information. Attention to detail to ensure high accuracy when reviewing transactions, documenting findings, and recommending actions with rationale. Investigative skills to gather and assess information from various sources to support decision-making. Basic knowledge of financial products and services; understand different transaction types, customer profiles, and potential red flags. Review AML alerts (e.g., in FCRM) and determine the appropriate category and potential red flags such as structuring, high-risk/high-volume transactions, or changes in behavior. Conduct initial research on alerted activity and 30 days of recent activity on the account, including research to explain why the activity occurred. Perform customer profile checks by verifying information against records to assess the legitimacy of transactions and expected activity. Perform basic investigations using internal systems and external data sources to gather information about the transaction, parties involved, and potential risks. Determine alert disposition: close non-suspicious alerts or escalate for more thorough investigations as appropriate.
