Contributes to and encourages our Donut Party culture Location Portland International Airport (PDX) Schedule Full-time (40–60 hrs/week, Tues/Wed off, availability on holidays required) Compensation $60,000–$65,000 + bonus eligibility Key Responsibilities Lead Operations: Oversee all daily aspects of store operations, ensuring compliance with company standards for product quality and Stellar Hospitality. Airport & Port Compliance: Serve as the primary liaison with Airport officials. Manage badge renewals, parking passes, TriMet registrations, concession reports, and ensure all operations meet Port of Portland standards. Sales & Performance: Track key sales metrics, drive revenue goals, and implement corrective actions when needed. Train and motivate staff to utilize upselling techniques that consistently exceed targets. Team Development & HR: Train, and coach a high-performing team. Enforce labor budgets, manage scheduling, oversee onboarding, and ensure accountability with clear documentation. Facilitate corrective actions and terminations when necessary. Operational Excellence: Conduct regular store audits to track hospitality and overall cleanliness. Oversee vendor relationships, repairs, and ordering to maintain stock levels while minimizing waste. Hands-On Leadership: Work alongside your team (~25-32 hrs/week on the floor), from boxing donuts to producing beverages, ensuring everyone meets Blue Star’s standards. Drive accountability and engagement through consistent feedback and support. Crisis Management & Problem-Solving: Address staffing shortages, equipment issues, or unexpected challenges quickly and decisively to keep operations running seamlessly. Culture & Values: Model and enforce Blue Star’s values! Qualifications Passion for donuts! Alignment with Blue Star’s core values. Current Oregon food handlers and ServSafe certifications. Working cell phone, laptop, and Gmail account. Completion of Blue Star Training Programs. Flexible availability, with availability to work across all operation hours, including weekends and company blackout dates. Trustworthy with confidential information. Must be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50lbs. Must be able to pass a federal background check for PDX Airport Badging and obtain a PDX Airport badge. Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to pass company Driver Training 2+ years managing high volume retail food service operations or equivalent leadership roles, Airport experience preferred. 1+ years of kitchen experience preferred Preferred: Experience utilizing Google Workspace, Slack, and Paycom.
