Job Description

Oshkosh AeroTech is a leading provider of aviation ground support products, gate equipment and airport services to commercial airlines, airports, air-freight carriers, ground handling and military customers. This position is located at Salt Lake City International Airport in Salt Lake City, Utah. Responsibilities include responding to and clearing faults with the baggage handling system in a timely manner, transporting baggage within the baggage handling area, reporting issues that could lead to system failures, completing entry level Maintenance Mechanic duties as needed, assisting with operational issues during outages or failures, regularly lifting up to 50 lbs, complying with company safety programs and trainings, working productively in a diverse and multicultural environment, and performing other duties as assigned. Qualifications include HS Diploma, GED, or Equivalent preferred, valid Drivers’ License required, experience with airport operations a plus, ability to be badged to work in secure airport areas, ability to work day or night shifts including weekends and holidays, ability to work in confined spaces and various weather conditions. Physical demands include standing, walking, handling, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, talking, hearing, and regularly lifting/moving up to 50 pounds. Work environment involves exposure to moving mechanical parts, outside weather, fumes, chemicals, cold, vibration, loud noise, and working on airport ramps around aircraft and heavy equipment.
